Yuba FC joins The League for Clubs

The League for Clubs is excited to announce the addition of Yuba FC for our inaugural season in 2025.

Yuba FC was founded in 2022 and has made progress each season both on and off the pitch. After a 2022 Fall season which saw them win the UPSL NorCal Division 1 championship, Yuba FC has competed the last two years in the UPSL Premier Division in the NorCal North Conference.

"I am very excited to be joining The League for Clubs! I believe not only in what the League is aiming to do but also that this is giving my players/club the best opportunity to play at a high level and reach their dreams of playing at the next level,” said Pete Afato, owner of Yuba FC. “Our mission here at Yuba FC is to provide opportunities in our area for players to be able to chase their dreams and The League is helping make this possible. Super excited for what is to come!"

Yuba FC is based in Yuba, California and plays its home matches at River Valley High School Stadium. Players of note that have played for Yuba FC include Sergio “Keko” Gontán Gallardo, who played in La Liga, La Liga 2 and with Sacramento Republic of the USL Championship, Salvador Villegas Jr., who played for Portland Timbers 2 and Luis Martinez, who played for Oklahoma City Energy FC of the USL Championship.
