ODFC Cesena FC USA joins The League for Clubs

The League for Clubs is excited to announce our sixth team in the East Region, ODFC Cesena FC USA.

ODFC Cesena FC USA is based in Aldie, Virginia, which is roughly 40 miles west of Washington, D.C. Old Dominion Football Club was founded in 2009 and has partnered with Italian club Cesena FC for the entirety of that decade and a half. The partnership has allowed players from D.C., Maryland and Virginia to receive guidance and education from some of the best coaches in Italy, many of which are UEFA certified and/or members of the Italian Soccer Federation (FIGC).

“As an affiliate of Cesena FC (https://cesenafc.com/it) of the Italian Serie B, we are excited about Cesena FC USA entering The League for Clubs, as we anticipate it to be the top US men’s amateur league soon,” said Andy Vera, who is the President of Old Dominion Football Club and the Director of Operations for Cesena FC USA. “The League will provide our young players a unique learning environment and a pathway to playing in leagues abroad. As with any new projects like this, we are looking at endless opportunities and possibilities for our players.”
