Announcement of the forming of The League For Clubs

It is with great excitement that a new amateur men's soccer league has been established. "The League for Clubs," also simply referred to as "The League," strives to bring a more sustainable and equitable landscape for clubs and fans in lower-level US soccer.

The League will begin play in May of 2025. It will be a summer league that starts in May and ends with a National Semifinals and Championship in early August.

"The formation of The League is another exciting development in amateur soccer and a great example of the passion, commitment and vision in lower league soccer in the United States. Casual soccer supporters, observers, and frankly most media outlets, overlook the amount of creativity displayed by stakeholders at the grassroots level. US Adult Soccer enthusiastically anticipates welcoming The League as a new member.

Sparks like this fuel the fire of amateur soccer and we could not be more supportive. Amateur soccer is the heart of soccer in the US and USASA continues to eagerly work with partners and members to strengthen the game." - Bruce Bode, Executive Director, US Adult Soccer Association

The League's goal is to create conferences of local like-minded clubs and prioritize the experience for players, fans and organizations. An anticipated approval from USASA will help to make sure that this is achieved and the collaborative effort of The League staff, and most importantly its member clubs, will help to make sure that it is sustained.

Over the next weeks and months, teams and conferences competing in The League will be announced. For more information, visit theleaguefc.com or follow @TheLeague_FC on social media. For media inquiries, please contact info@theleaguefc.com.
