Founded in 2016, Tyler FC is based in the city of Tyler, TX, located roughly 100 miles east of Dallas. The club played in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) from 2017-19 and United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) in 2019-20. After a five year hiatus, the club returns to action in 2025.
"Joining The League is a milestone moment for Tyler FC and the East Texas soccer community,” said Chris Avila, Owner and GM of Tyler FC. “After facing our own frustrations with other leagues, this opportunity allows us to return to competing at a higher level and showcase the immense talent in our region."
Over the course of its existence, Tyler FC has had an immense impact in the community. Many former players have become coaches for the club, leading to the development of a highly competitive youth program. This program has created opportunities for young players in East Texas to develop and compete.
Tyler FC will compete in the Central Region in 2025. They are the seventh announced club to join TLfC that is based in Texas, joining FC Dallas U23s, Corinthians FC of San Antonio, Central Texas Coyotes, Austin United FC, Houston Regals SCA and The Rio Grande Valley Soccer Project, which will unveil its official name and brand in March.
Full conference alignment and official schedules will be posted in the near future.
