Peak XI FC joins TLfC's Mountain Premier Conference

April 7, 2025

The League for Clubs (TLfC) is excited to announce the addition of Peak XI FC to our roster of clubs in the Mountain Premier Conference.

Peak XI FC can trace its history back to the early 2000s, when a group of friends that worked at a beloved Boulder Italian restaurant started a team in the Boulder Soccer League (BSL). They named their club after the restaurant, Il Pastaio. The club’s name changed to the Boulder Rollin’ Greens in 2010. They would go on to win the BSL spring and fall seasons in 2013.

The club again rebranded and were called FC Boulder. They joined the United Premier Soccer League and won a conference championship in 2018. After a change in hierarchy, key players went different directions. The forming of Peak XI FC in 2020 brought those players back together again to continue their soccer journey in the Mountain Premier League (MPL).

“We’re honored to join The League for Clubs and to continue building a competitive, player-first environment at Peak XI FC,” said Eric Schuler, Peak XI FC Head Coach. “This opportunity elevates our platform for local talent, challenges us against top-level opposition, and reinforces our commitment to developing players who compete with purpose and pride.”

Peak XI FC is based in Superior, Colorado, which is situated less than 10 miles to the southeast of Boulder and around 20 miles northwest of Denver. The club will play its home matches in Thornton, CO at the Pinnacle Athletic Complex.

“The story of Peak XI FC is the type of everyman story that we love about this level of soccer. As much as we at TLfC appreciate their story, we appreciate even more that they are an organization that puts the player first,” said Casey Cantor, TLfC Commissioner. “We can’t wait to see what the future holds for Peak XI FC. They are a club with the exact type of leadership that we’re excited to build with. We are honored to be a part of their amazing story.”

Peak XI FC will join the Mountain Premier Conference, joining two other clubs that were announced today, Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC and CFA Aurora FC. The conference was made possible by the partnership agreement between TLfC and the MPL. The conference is expected to compete in the 2025 season.
