CFA Aurora FC joins TLfC's Mountain Premier Conference

April 7, 2025

The League for Clubs (TLfC) is excited to welcome CFA Aurora FC to the Mountain Premier Conference.

The “CFA” in its name stands for Colorado Futsal Academy. Some of the players of CFA Aurora FC also compete in futsal for the club, which competes in the National Futsal Premier League. The club prides itself on its style of play, much of which is a direct result of its futsal roots.

“We at The League for Clubs are delighted to have CFA Aurora FC join a rapidly growing Mountain Premier Conference,” said Casey Cantor, TLfC Commissioner. “Every club at this level has a different background and origin story. That’s part of what we love about amateur soccer. Futsal is an important and often overlooked part of our game and we can’t wait to see what this club’s history brings to this league that we are growing.”

CFA Aurora FC will play its home matches at Montebello High School, located in Denver, CO. The club played four years in the United Premier Soccer League before joining the Mountain Premier League (MPL) this spring.

CFA Aurora FC will play in the Mountain Premier Conference, joining two other clubs announced today, Peak XI FC and Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC. This conference was made possible by a partnership between TLfC and the Mountain Premier League (MPL). The partnership will allow MPL teams to compete at a regional level and be promoted into the MPC and have a chance to compete for a national championship in The League. This system of promotion and relegation is expected to begin in 2026.
